Best beach festivals

No matter what your music taste, there’s something to suit you at Sziget. Pop, rock, dance and reggae fans alike flock to Óbudai Island from around the world to camp on the beach beside the beautiful Danube river. Oh, and the drinks are MEGA cheap.

Festival King and Glasto organizer Michael Eavis is a fan, calling Sziget “a fantastic festival, more colourful and probably a lot cleaner than Glastonbury”. Well, if it’s good enough for him!

Basement Jaxx and Ben Howard will provide the soundtrack to Boardmasters this year, the festival that celebrates the very best of the beach-side lifestyle. Head to Fistral Beach for surf, skate and BMX displays before checking out the unbelievable sea view from the Watergate Bay music arena.
